Thanks for the quick reply. I went to Solid signal and found a genie system diagram. It answered my question.
A little background. :
I have an HR44-700 genie receiver in my home. I have two receivers at home. The second is a HR21-100. Since my wife and I spend the 4 winter months in Aridzona in a 5th wheel trailer, I currently take my HR21 receiver with me and have a 5lnb slimline antenna I set up on a tripod mount to supply the TV signal to my trailer.
The trailer has two TV's. One larger TV in the main room and a small one in the bedroom. I can currently only use DTV service on the large one and the bedroom unit receives off air progaming only. My plan is to take the genie with us from home and get a Genie minie to supply the signal to the bedroom TV. That way both the wife and I can watch different D.T. HDTV shows at the same time and not be limited to local off air broadcasts on the second TV.
I was concerned about having to run more wiring the length of the RV unit to supply the signal for the genie mini. I see from the diagram I downloaded that a regular RG6 cable is all I need to run from the Swim output to the mini. Since there is already one installed in the trailer, I can mount the SWIM near the genie HR44 and use the existing co-ax to go back to the mini that comes from an entertainment console switching box already installed in the trailer. I also understand that I'll have to change the LNB head on the old 5 LNB slimline to make it compatible with the new Genie system.
Looks like Solid Signal is a good place to get the antenna parts I will need.
Thanks again
Tom
