This will be difficult to troubleshoot by yourself. Most likely it's a defective dish LNB or SWM Power Inserter. Sometimes LNBs become "cold sensitive". Of course, it could be loose coax cable connection at the dish. I would NOT "bonk" it with a broom because you're likely to knock it out of alignment. If you can safely reach the dish LNB, you can loosen the screw that holds it to the dish arm, pull it back slightly, and check the coax cable connection on the back. Otherwise, best to call DirecTV for a service. It's free if you have their Equipment Protection Plan, otherwise ~$50, regardless of what needs repair/replacement.
