I am always amazed at how some companies (Pentair, DirecTV) spend years refusing to support OS X. When they finally do provide support, they find an app development team that has never developed anything for OS X besides Hello World.
Pentair's solution was to wrap a PC app with Wine. They were smart though, they included a Force Quit command in the Menu.
